Ok, I'll launch. I couldn't decide if I was pre or post Hayden era. I took his last offering of Theories of the Text in 1999. He was bigger than life for sure! What I wanted to suggest as a theme for the History of Conciousness 2013 conference -- GREAT IDEA -- is "Legacies" - Misha Abrams took the word right out of my mouth in his post thanking everyone for the good times at Donna's retirement party. Seems like some of our elders have taken the lead already. It would be fascinating to also hear from colleagues around the academy how the work of History of Consciousness faculty and graduates shaped their own projects, disciplines, and careers.
