What do we need on this and/or our permanent website?

A few ideas, but please add your own:

1. A list of all grads and their dissertation titles
2. Every person who signs in to this site can create his/her own page (Or perhaps I have to do it) from which we can access any items we want, e.g. his/her home page, a list of courses taught and their syllabi (I think our collected syllabi would go a long way towards defining that nexus we are calling 'a school of thought,' a CV, a list of published works, address and other contact information, etc.
3. A timeline which lists who was at HistCon during which time periods. This would give us a visual representation of the waves of cohorts and the faculty who mentored each wave. It would be possible to link from each name on the timeline to an individual's page. The timeline itself could provide the entrance point to the rhizomatic map of Hist Con's "Legacies."
4. Another way to 'drive' the rhizome would be to find a way to connect cohorts and faculty in some visual representation which could be linkable.

IDEAS/IDEAS. We are seeking ideas and we know you all have plenty of them.

  2. oh, how about ways to interconnect our grad students and hocs? how about mentoring for current hoc folks such as we can realistically? thinking of how to make sure all the hoc generations are connected and no one excluded?

  3. I promise to come up with some suggestions (and just posted something about the Hayden White era) but at this point would simply plea for a font change. The script is lovely, but I find it difficult to read (but maybe that's just my advanced age).

  4. We had the book display in SC, but maybe a book listing with links to check them out would be good here!

  5. Paul. I have no idea why the font changed when I changed to my new laptop. Really, strange. I will fix it asap.

Right now every minute is at a premium.
